Well......today has been interesting. As you can see in my photo, this is how I felt about halfway through the day. Let me tell you how we got to this point. Also, I am not a blogger but I figured there is no time like the present so here we go!

The day began and I was thrilled to be able to do digital learning with my students. I received a degree in Instructional Technology and used to be an Instructional Tech Coach. In my mind, today was going to run flawless. I had set up all my lessons on Microsoft Teams and structured them nicely. I even videoed myself to start the lessons explaining everything. There was no way today was going to fail. Then it happened, technology did was technology does. It failed on us and all my assignments began to crash. I got messages on messages from my students about assignments crashing and saying these assignments had been deleted. I began to get frazzled because I worked so hard to ensure everything was right. Then it dawned on me, this may be the first time these platforms have tried to support THIS MANY students and teachers on them at one time. We have never faced anything like this before. We have never had to be online teachers. This brought more optimism for the coming week. Surely, this will also assist Microsoft in seeing their capabilities and where to improve.

Now this Day 1 post is not to bash what we are going to be doing until further notice. This post is meant to be apart of measuring the growth of my Digital Learning from not until I enter my classroom again. In order to have growth and change, there has to be struggles. I believe in the capabilities of technology and our capabilities as educators do deliver quality instruction to all of our students no matter what happens. So join me in the growth and struggles of Digital Learning throughout the next few weeks and hopefully each day will get better.
